Lauren Okell, OT Reg. (Ont.)
Ms. Okell is an Occupational Therapist, registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists. She is qualified and registered to practice in the province of Ontario.
She graduated from The University of Western Ontario with an Honours Specialization Degree in Psychology. She continued her education at Queen’s University where she completed her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy.
She has clinical experience in the assessment and treatment of individuals with physical, neurological, psychological and cognitive impairments.
She has attended conferences and seminars on insurance policy and litigation, cognitive assessment and intervention, chronic pain, GOS-E and the Assessment of Attendant Care Needs. She is trained in the Progressive Goal Attainment Program (PGAP) intervention and received a certificate from OISE in Cognitive Behavior Therapy. She is also a certified BrainFX provider. She regularly attends courses, seminars and conferences to update her skills and expertise in assessment, rehabilitation and therapeutic intervention.
She has participated in catastrophic assessment workshops and courses including the training course given by the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CCMC) for the AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment, 4th Edition.
She has received certification through the American Board of Forensic Professionals in the 4th Edition of the AMA guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment.
She is a Canadian Certified Life Care Planner. She has been accepted as an expert witness in the Courts of Ontario as a Canadian Certified Life Care Planner.
